Per festeggiare nel modo migliore il fatidico traguardo dei miei 30 anni (OMG voglio morire!! ahimè, anche per me sono giunti gli “enta”), io e Nicola a novembre siamo partiti per un lungo weekend romantico all’insegna del luxury e del relax immersi nella piacevolissima atmosfera delle Alpi.

To celebrate in the best way my 30th birthday (OMG I want to die!! yes, the “entas” have come for me too), in November Nicola and I left for a long romantic weekend in the name of luxury and relax immersed in the pleasant atmosphere of the Alps.

Arrivati nel tardo pomeriggio, la prima cosa che ci ha colpito, è la grandezza della struttura… il resort è davvero immenso! Se vi dicessi che all’arrivo in hotel, al momento del check-in ci è stata addirittura consegnata una mappa con indicate tutte le aree del resort, indispensabile per non perdersi tra le varie strutture mi credereste? E vi assicuro che è stata fondamentale, perché più di una volta abbiamo rischiato di perderci! 😀
L’ingresso del Quellenhof ci ha subito colpito con la sua bellissima fontana d’acqua che zampillava in un turbinio di giochi di luce e musica.
La hall, poi, è qualcosa di incantevole. Le piante e il legno sono i protagonisti indiscussi, sembra quasi di trovarsi in una giungla!
Arrived in the late afternoon, the first thing that amazed us is the size of the building … the resort is truly immense! If I told you that upon arrival at the hotel, at the time of check-in they even give us a map with all the areas of the resort, essential to not get lost among the various buildings would you believe me? And I assure you it was fundamental, because more than once we risked getting lost! : D
The entrance to the Quellenhof immediately enchanted us with its beautiful water fountain that gushed in a whirlwind of plays of light and music.
The lobby is really charming. Plants and wood are the undisputed protagonists, it almost seems to be in a jungle!
Il complesso alberghiero, come vi dicevo, è davvero grande! Sullo stesso piano della nostra suite era presente anche il Panorama Restaurant cioè il ristorante panoramico dove facevamo colazione e cenavamo; al piano superiore, invece, c’era lo Sky Teppanyaki, il ristorante dedicato alla cucina giapponese.
The hotel complex, as I told you, is really big! On the same floor of our suite there was the Panorama Restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner; instead, on the upper floor there was Sky Teppanyaki, the restaurant dedicated to Japanese cuisine.
Wellness Suite
La nostra Wellness Suite al quinto piano era in perfetto stile alpino; interamente rivestita in legno, la camera era super accogliente, calda e confortevole. Il tocco magico era dato dal camino che creava un’atmosfera semplicemente “da favola”.
Il grande bagno con doppio lavabo e vasca super chic presentava una deliziosa vetrata interna che dava sulla camera.
Oltre al letto king size, il soggiorno aveva anche un divano letto, una scrivania ed una comodissima cabina armadio dove al mio arrivo ho immediatamente sistemato tutti i miei vestiti e le scarpe.
Ed infine, a completare il tutto, un ampio balcone con visuale sulle Alpi.
Wellness Suite
Our fifth floor Wellness Suite was in perfect alpine style; entirely covered in wood, the room was super cozy, warm and comfortable. The magical touch was given by the fireplace which created a simply “fairytale” atmosphere.
The large bathroom with double sink and super chic bathtub had a delightful internal glass door overlooking the bedroom.
In addition to the king size bed, the living room also had a sofa bed, a desk and a very comfortable walk-in closet where I immediately put all my clothes and shoes.
After all a large balcony with a view of the Alps.
Equitazione
Durante il nostro soggiorno, ho avuto la possibilità di fare la mia prima lezione di equitazione con Stuart.
Chi mi segue su instagram si ricorderà sicuramente di lui! Stuart è il mio amico equino con cui ho passato una bellissima mattinata. Mi ha insegnato a fidarmi di lui, a capirlo, a seguire i suoi movimenti, a lasciarmi andare all’ignoto.
Scesa dalla sua groppa non sentivo più le gambe a causa dell’acido lattico, ma il rapporto di fiducia e di complicità che si era instaurato tra di noi ha fatto entrare a pieni voti questa esperienza nella classifica di quelle più emozionanti della mia vita!
Horse riding
During our stay, I had the opportunity to take my first riding lesson with Stuart.
Those who follow me on instagram will surely remember him! Stuart is my equine friend with whom I spent a beautiful morning.
He taught me to trust him, to understand him, to follow his movements, to let me go into the unknown.
Once I got off his back, I no longer felt my legs because of the lactic acid, but the relationship of trust and complicity that had developed between us made this experience one of the most exciting of my life!
Benessere, Sport, Divertimento
Con i suoi 10.000 m² di area wellness, il Quellenhof Resort è il più grande paradiso del benessere di tutto il Trentino Alto Adige. Ovviamente io e Nicola ci siamo divertiti ad esplorare quasi tutte le aree: prima fra tutte quella delle due piscine riscaldate interne con apertura verso il giardino del resort (una d’acqua dolce e l’altra di acqua salina); è davvero uno spettacolo nuotare nell’acqua calda a 32°C circondati dalle montagne!
Non c’è relax senza un po’ di sano divertimento e quindi, la seconda area che non potevamo farci sfuggire è stata l’Acqua Family Parc, la cui attrazione principale è sicuramente lo scivolo per la discesa con i gommoni e lo scivolo turbo con partenza a caduta libera.
Wellness, Sport, Fun
With its 10,000 m² of wellness area, the Quellenhof Resort is the largest wellness paradise in the whole Trentino Alto Adige. Obviously Nicola and I had fun exploring almost all the areas: first of all the zone of the two heated indoor pools with opening towards the resort garden (one with soft water and the other one with saline water); it is truly amazing to swim in the warm water at 32 °C surrounded by mountains!
There is no relaxation without a bit of healthy fun and therefore, the second area that we could not miss was the Acqua Family Parc, whose main attraction is certainly the slide for the descent with the inflatable boats and the turbo slide with free fall start.
A completare il meraviglioso complesso del Quellenhof Resort, un grande campo da golf, 7 bellissimi campi da tennis in terra battuta, un maneggio coperto dove troverete anche il mio amico Stuart, 2 sale fitness attrezzate ed un numeroso assortimento di mountain bike e bici elettriche.
Ogni giorno a colazione, ci veniva consegnato il programma della giornata che prevedeva tantissime attività sia per grandi che per piccini. E la sera, dopo cena, tutti nella zona piano bar per gustare qualche cocktail con sottofondo musicale e verso le 23 tutti in pista per un po’ di dance music!
Per chi invece preferisce qualcosa di meno “mondano” sicuramente amerà la sala giochi con biliardini, tavolo da biliardo e persino 4 piste da bowling dove mi sono fatta letteralmente stracciare da Nicola. 🙁
Insomma, al Quellenhof Resort non ci si può proprio annoiare!
To complete the wonderful complex of the Quellenhof Resort, a large golf course, 7 beautiful clay tennis courts, a covered riding stable where you will also find my friend Stuart, 2 equipped fitness rooms and a large assortment of mountain bikes and electric bikes.
Every day at breakfast, we were given the program of the day which included many activities for both adults and children.
In the evening, after dinner, everybody in the piano bar area to enjoy some cocktails with background music and at around 11 pm everyone to dance!
For those who prefer something less “mundane”, there are the games room with table football, pool table and even 4 bowling alleys.
You can’t get bored at Quellenhof Resort!
Esplorare i dintorni
Ma il nostro weekend non poteva considerarsi perfetto senza una piccola gita fuori porta ad esplorare uno dei posti più belli del Trentino Alto Adige: il lago di Braies.
Questo lago si trova nella zona 3 Zinnen Dolomites, più nota come Val Pusteria.
Era da tanto tempo che volevamo vedere il famoso e super fotografato lago di Braies ma mai ci saremmo aspettati di trovare davanti a noi un tale spettacolo della natura e soprattutto ci immaginavamo tutt’altro paesaggio!
Sapevamo che a novembre non avremmo trovato 30°C e sole splendente ma non potevamo pensare di assistere ad una nevicata così copiosa! É stato stupendo trovare un manto bianco di neve purissima che copriva qualunque fogliolina. E ovviamente abbiamo scattato tantissime foto per immortalare ogni angolino di questo gioiello della nostra stupenda Italia.
Explore the surroundings
Our weekend could not be considered perfect without a small trip out of town to explore one of the most beautiful places in Trentino Alto Adige: the Braies lake.
This lake is located in zone 3 Zinnen Dolomites, better known as Val Pusteria.
It was a long time since we wanted to see the famous and super photographed Braies lake but we never expected to find such a spectacle of nature in front of us and above all we imagined a completely different landscape!
We knew that in November we would not find 30 °C and bright sun but we could not think of seeing such a copious snowfall!
It was amazing to find a white blanket of pure snow that covered any leaf. And of course we took lots of photos to capture every corner of this jewel of our beautiful Italy.
Piccola curiosità: sapevate che questo stupendo lago è la location protagonista della fiction “A un passo dal cielo”?
La casetta di legno dove nei mesi più caldi si noleggiano le barchette è la palafitta dove vive Pietro e nelle vicinanze c’è una piccola e graziosissima chiesetta dedicata alla Divina Madre Dolorosa costruita nel 1904 come cappella privata della famiglia Hellensteiner, i proprietari del vicino Hotel Lago di Braies. La chiesetta fu pensata per gli ospiti ed i dipendenti dell’albergo.
Che dite, sono riuscita a farvi venire voglia di prenotare un bel viaggio in Alto Adige?
Small curiosity: did you know that this beautiful lake is the most important location of the fiction “One step from heaven”?
The wooden house where boats are hired in the warmer months is the stilt house where Pietro lives and nearby there is a small and very pretty church dedicated to the Divine Mother Painful built in 1904 as a private chapel of the Hellensteiner family, the owners of the nearby Hotel Pragser Wildsee. The church was designed for hotel guests and employees.
